On Epic Mountain Express Drivers and Staff
“I had stellar service from all personnel! I was able to leave DIA an hour earlier than expected due to staff assistance at the counter. They were able to get me on an earlier shuttle to Vail. The driver was very nice, great service. I would use this service again in a heartbeat!!”
“We arrived at DIA after the road closures - your staff did a great job of organizing everyone as the shuttles returned to the airport. They always kept us informed as to the ETA of the driver. Well done!” Michael
“I was very happy to have a driver who was engaging and full of information and entertainment concerning the area. I had great conversations and also was able to catch-up on my e-mail with the great WiFi service available on the van. (Kim A., DIA to Summit, 8/1
“All of my phone conversations with CME staff were with friendly, competent staff. They were most helpful and kind… I will use CME whenever I need safe and reliable transportation in Colorado, Kind regards, ” J.T.
“I do not recall his name, however I was on the 12:15pm shuttle from Frisco on 2/24. The road conditions were extremely hazardous due to the weather. The driver handled the situation very professionally. I always have a positive experience using CME.“Noreen T.
“I thought the driver returning me and an injured friend from Vail to Denver was a superb driver in difficult, snowy conditions, Vail Pass had only just opened up. I have found all your drivers most courteous and helpful.” John M.
“You guys are fantastic. I rode CME round-trip from DIA to Vail. The driver going up was fantastic and had no trouble finding our condo. The driver going back was equally fantastic and very friendly. I would use CME again and will highly recommend your service anytime possible.” William L.
“I was pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of everyone at CME. I am in the service business so I am always critical and observant towards customer service. Keep up the great service. Everyone I came into contact with had a smile on their face and went out of their way to be friendly. I even commented to a friend how friendly everyone was at CME - Good Job!” - Ron B., 1/2012
“I want to complement our driver going from DIA up to Breck on 1/7 in the bad snow storm that day. The driver was very careful and pleasant to all of us who were quite concerned about road conditions and watching so many cars and trucks w/o chains skid all around us. We knew we were in good hands with CME and will ride you again next year.” - Remy T., 1/2012
On Service
“CME was on time, clean, friendly, extremely efficient in its pickups, and got me to the airport in less time than I planned for, even with traffic. I might not be back in CO for a while, but if I am I will absolutely use CME. (Greg C., Aspen to DIA, 8/12)”
“As a retired airline pilot and Marine who has spent hundreds (thousands?) of hours in shuttle vans, I am highly qualified to state that CME is, by a very significant margin, the best lead, managed, and staffed of them all (including most limo services). Your customer service is evident from web to phone to desk to driver to vehicle.(Capt. Ted D., DIA to Vail, 8/12)
“I was nervous about using the van service. You guys totally rock. I’m from New York (Long Island) and you way surpass any ride service I’ve ever used. Pam was wonderful. Thanks for a great experience. ~A.M from NY
“This was my third trip within the last year to visit my daughter now living in Dillon. I am thrilled that the price of CME has become much more affordable, especially if I have to have transportation both ways. I always warn family and friends from home about the cost of transportation from DIA to the mountains - I am happy to be able to tell them that the price now is much more reasonable. As long as the cost is comparable to the other newer services I prefer to stay with CME!” Susie F.
“I loved using CME. I would never rent a car in the future.” Josh Z.
“I can depend on you to pick me up on time and to deliver me safely to my destination despite road conditions. I am always pleased when things run smoothly. I particularly noticed the polite manner in which the dispatcher and driver converse - very respectful and professional, such a nice way to do business. Thank you!” Kathy O.“I have never had a bad experience with CME and would never use any other transportation to the airport. I have been in CO for 19 years and still travel back to my hometown in IA frequently. Thanks for great services,” Karen E.
“Last week, I was traveling back from Florida with my 9 week old son. This was my first time traveling with him and I quickly realized that getting to and from DIA from Vail was just as stressful as flying. Riding CME seemed the best option so I did not have to deal with driving a newborn over the pass with unknown road conditions, a possibly hungry or crying baby, all alone. So after a long day of travel we landed in Denver, grabbed most of our bags and headed to the CME desk to check in. This is where we were greeted by the friendliest agent, Rachael. Her shinning personality put me at ease right away, and she told me that I could make the 11:00 am shuttle instead of waiting for the 12 noon I originally reserved. I then realized that the base of my car seat had not arrived. Rachel said she would watch my bags while I went to get the car seat at Baggage Claim. Of course it was not there, and I waited 30 minutes and still nothing. At this point, I had a screaming hungry baby strapped to me, a stroller stacked high with baby stuff, a dead cell phone, had not eaten, still no car seat & we were going to have to wait for the next shuttle.
Finally the airline found the car seat and I walked back to the CME desk to see Rachel wandering around the area. She said “I was looking for you! We are upgrading you to our CME Premier private car service at no extra charge so you and your son will be more comfortable. You can leave whenever you are ready!” Rachael explained that CME always upgrades guests from the shared ride shuttles to the exclusive SUV’s if that vehicle would be heading back up empty otherwise. This was a dream come true! I thought the great experience ended here…but our driver, Paul made it even better. He made me feel so safe and comfortable the entire way. Half way home, after nice casual conversation with Paul, I realized that I would not be able to go home and relax after a long travel day. I now have a newborn to take care of…so I decided to nap in the comfortable SUV. I think this last hour of travel with CME was the most relaxed I have been in a while! My son was sleeping, we were safe and in great hands. Needless to say, this was definitely an experience of a lifetime and a CME fan for life.” - Susan H., 1/2012
“My flight was delayed due to weather. I was never worried about missing part of my trip as CME assisted me while I sat in my “Airport of Origin” and called to start the rescheduling process for my arrival at DIA. CME Reservations seamlessly switched my reservation time, and I had to wait even less time (from plane arrival to van departure) than originally scheduled - actually this was your chance to “shine” and you did!” - David T., 1/2012
Professionalism & Experience
“I have just returned from my month in the US and just wanted to thank you for your assistance with my reservations. Your company is a truly professional operation and I would have absolutely NO hesitation in using your services for any and all of my clients requiring transfers in the Colorado region. Thank you once again and I look forward working with you in the future.” - Warmest Wishes, Germaine A., German Travel Agent

Epic Mountain Express, formerly Colorado Mountain Express, Donates 15-Passenger Van to The Cycle Effect
Local young women benefit from Vail Resorts’ philanthropic program, EpicPromise
As part of Vail Resorts’ EpicPromise program, Epic Mountain Express (formerly CME) has partnered with The Cycle Effect by donating a 15-passenger Ford E350 van to the organization.
The Cycle Effect is a relatively new non-profit organization that supports a key EpicPromise criterion – youth development – by helping young girls to develop confidence and life skills through the sport of mountain biking. With its rapid growth in Eagle County and expansion into Summit County, the Cycle Effect’s need for transportation was made clear in the Company’s grant process. Through Vail Resorts’ philanthropic giving council, a vehicle donation was seen as the most beneficial way to foster The Cycle Effect’s plans for more growth and delivering bikes to young women.
“Through the Vail Resorts Epic Promise program, CME can donate transportation services and vehicles to nonprofit organizations in need,” said Robert Tschupp, vice president and general manager of Colorado Mountain Express. “Our dedication to helping youth and environmental programs in the regions in which we operate is important to us, and their work is crucial to building stronger communities.” As CME upgrades its fleet each year, it makes sense to find ways to give back to the community and help nonprofits as much, if not more, than a cash donation.
The Cycle Effect was started in 2010 by Brett Donelson whose goal was to create an opportunity for committed and driven middle- and high-school-age young women who Donelson believes should be able to participate in a sport that he and many of his friends and colleagues in the mountains are so passionate about, regardless of their background or financial status. The Cycle Effect has since provided top-of-the-line mountain bikes and equipment and professional training in Eagle and Summit counties. Through the program, participants have improved their self-esteem and fitness levels and competed in race events throughout Colorado. Through it all, life-long skills of teamwork, stress-management and healthy competition are also found.
“One of the reasons for the growth of The Cycle Effect is that reliable transportation to races and training is a hurdle for many of the girls,” said Brett Donelson, executive director of The Cycle Effect. “In order to get these young ladies where they need to be and to allow them to fully participate in The Cycle Effect, we need vehicles. CME’s van has proven to be safe, reliable and in excellent condition. We simply could not run our program without vehicles like these.”
This is the fourth consecutive year that CME and Vail Resorts have donated a van to a deserving nonprofit organization in Summit or Eagle County. Vans have previously been donated to the Keystone Science School, Friends of Dillon Ranger District and SOS Outreach.
Additionally, EpicPromise supports The Cycle Effect through its annual grant program. EpicPromise is Vail Resorts’ sustainability brand, which includes all of the Company’s environmental and community giving efforts. Through the brand, Vail Resorts contributes more than $7.8 million each year in cash and in-kind donations to critical non-profits that carry out youth and environmental programs in the communities where the Company operates.
2014 Colorado Mountain Express Fill the Van Food Drive stocks shelves for area non-profit organizations
Eagle, Garfield, Pitkin and Summit County residents invited to donate Saturday, November 15th as part of 9Cares Colorado Shares Day

Glenwood Springs and Aspen City Markets will be filling the van for the pantries of Lift-Up between 9 a.m and 2 p.m. In Summit County, the Colorado Mountain Express Fill the Van Food Drive stocks shelves for the Family & Intercultural Resource Center at Breckenridge and Dillon City Markets.
As part of a joint fundraising effort between Colorado Mountain Express, Vail Resorts, 9News, and the Vail, Avon, and Eagle Police Departments, the donations will remain in the county in which they were donated. Beneficiaries include Summit County’s Family and Intercultural Resource Center (FIRC), the Vail Valley Salvation Army and Bright Future Foundation in Eagle County and Lift Up of Roaring Fork Valley. Last year, CME and VR Echo collected more than sixteen tons of food for Colorado food banks.

Each year, Epic Mountain Express, collects over thousands of pounds of food + thousands of dollars for local food banks! Thank you for your support!
In a recent statewide survey conducted by the nonprofit Hunger Free Colorado showed that one in three individuals, that’s 33% of Coloradans, are food insecure, a problem worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic. With the approaching holiday season, an ongoing pandemic, inflationary concerns and the high cost of housing, Fill the Van food drive will benefit individuals and families in-need through the following three nonprofit organizations: Summit County’s FAMILY & INTERCULTURAL RESOURCE CENTER, Eagle County’s SALVATION ARMY and the COMMUNITY MARKET in Eagle. Our volunteers will be in front of grocery stores with shopping lists to shoppers headed in and then collecting food as shoppers exit the stores. Fill up a basket (or two!) for the families in your community!

Eagle Airport vs. Denver Airport
Denver International Airport is a much larger airport, serving as a hub for United, Frontier and Southwest Airlines. As the 5th busiest airport in the USA, Denver International Airport offers more travel options and flight times. With over 800 daily flights to over 200 destinations including 23 international destinations, Denver is one of the fastest growing airports in the world. Eagle County Airport, being a smaller, regional airport, is served by three airlines: American, Delta and United. The benefits of flying into the airport closest to Vail /Beaver Creek include the east to navigate and get around. Also, most flights to Eagle County are on large jets like Boeing 757, 737 and Airbus. However, the biggest benefit of flying through Eagle Airport is how close it is to Vail and Beaver Creek. You don’t have to drive through the mountains; it is a convenient airport.
While it has fewer flights than Denver, Eagle County Airport has services from American Airlines, Delta, and United Airlines. Most direct flights are in the winter season, with non-stop service to Eagle County Airport from Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Newark, Phoenix, and San Francisco.
If you’re flying through Eagle County for your next ski trip, book your Eagle Airport ground transportation with Epic Mountain Express!
